James O’Donovan, Tim Young, Billy McAuliffe, and Aidan Murphy were the top four performers in Sunday’s senior men’s trials for the Irish road team at next year’s European championships in Germany.

Vincent Kiely’s win in the Tim White Cup final at Rosscarbery was the highlight of a weekend in which North Cork bowlers took four big victories. 

Seamus Sexton won the Connie Killarney Cup final on the Marsh Road where he beat Michael Bohane with his 18th shot past the line.

John Shorten won the Flor Crowley Cup final by two bowls of odds against Michael Bohane at Ballinacurra on Saturday.
