Chelsea have joined forces with Auckland club Football Kingz in a deal aimed at giving the big-spending Barclaycard Premiership giants direct access to some of the best rising talent in Oceania.

Chelsea’s record signing Damien Duff admitted it was “the hardest decision of his life” to leave Blackburn – his only senior club – for the bright lights of west London.
