MORE pressure is being piled on organised gangs in Limerick with the Criminal Assets Bureau (CAB) finalising court papers to confiscate huge assets from known criminals.

AN ICE-CREAM van which travelled to festivals around the country was used to launder drug money, Limerick District Court heard yesterday.

THE cash haul in the huge Garda Operation Platinum mounted to target Limerick’s feuding drugs gangs rose to €250,000 yesterday after further searches in the city.

Gardaí in Limerick have made 12 applications to Limerick District Court this afternoon following a series of raids around the city yesterday.
