James O’Donovan added another significant win to his current run when he beat Killian Kingston by three bowls in the semi-final of the Paddy Barry Cup at Rosscarbery.

James Buckley bridged a 19-year gap when he won the 30th Hurley’s of Midleton King of the Roads title with a five-star performance against Aidan Murphy at Ballincurrig yesterday.

Sunday’s King and Queen of the Roads at Ballincurrig was one of sustained excellence and excitement.

Aidan Murphy had the first win of the 2012 Munster senior championship when he beat Martin Coppinger in the last shot at Baile Mhuirne in Pool A on Saturday.
