Champion Hurdle-winning trainer Colm Murphy savoured a welcome change of luck when Catalaunian Fields landed the Thatch Bar Katies Kitchen Maiden Hurdle in Bellewstown last night.

A tilt at the Guinness Kerry National in Listowel is on the cards for the Philip Fenton-trained Caim Hill following his gutsy victory in the Castleview Homes Mullacurry Cup Handicap Hurdle in Bellewstown last evening.

On an evening when Barry Geraghty completed a superb treble in the opening three races, it was Conor O’Dwyer who earned the plaudits when guiding the Jessica Harrington trained Bullock Harbour to a convincing victory in the ‘Legends’ race, the Foleys Antiques Supple Arkle Statue Maiden.
