Sam Torrance carded a four-under-par 68 to storm into a three-shot lead over David J Russell after the second round of the Irvine Whitlock Jersey Seniors Classic at La Moye.

The European Seniors Tour will launch its 14th season with the now traditional “Caribbean Swing” on the islands of Barbados and Tobago in March.
