Based on a true story and set in the turbulent world of the Palestine-Israel conflict the film tells the story of the Palestinian widow (Abbass) whose precious lemon trees come under threat – for security reasons – when the Defence Minister of Israel (Tavory) moves next door.

UNITED Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan yesterday called for an immediate halt to the escalating conflict between Israel and Lebanon’s Hezbollah militia, but said “there are serious obstacles to reaching a ceasefire or even to diminishing the violence quickly”.
