Dunnes Stores was chosen as top retailer at 2016 Irish Quality Food and Drink Awards now in its fourth year.

Beef dripping made from the suet of grass-fed Angus and Hereford beef by James Whelan Butchers in Clonmel, Co Tipperary is one of five Irish entries placed in the top 50 of the Great Taste Awards.

Hopes of having the tastiest food in the UK have strengthened for eight Irish companies, after 12 of their products were named in the 2013 Great Taste award top 50.
