Saturday’s Waterford Crystal Cup clash between Cork and UCC at the Mardyke takes on extra significance as it will also be the first staging of the Canon O’Brien Cup.

The fixtures have fallen kindly for Donagh O’Donnell this weekend.

THE last two Corn Uí Mhuirí champions, St Brendan’s (Killarney) and Coláiste Chríost Rí, will meet in the quarter-final of this season’s competition, while Ardscoil Rís, chasing a third Dr Harty Cup title in-a-row, will put their crown on the line when they face Limerick city rivals Castletroy College.
