The head of services at the Ana Liffey Drug Project has called on young people attending festivals and concerts to avail of welfare services if they are feeling unwell after taking drugs.

The 19-year-old man is believed to have taken a substance while attending the festival in Mitchelstown.

A former Senator appeared in court today charged with a number of offences including drink driving and dangerous driving as a music festival was taking place nearby, writes Joe Leogue.
