THE Cork County Board executive motion to appoint three executive members and three club delegates to select the county’s next senior hurling manager was last night rubber-stamped by the delegates at a board meeting. The motion received 70 votes and defeated five other motions that were proposed on the night by various clubs.

WEST Limerick GAA chiefs last night ordered their divisional junior hurling final to be replayed after Sunday afternoon’s decider in Feenagh between St Kieran’s and Askeaton ended in a blaze of controversy when a St Kieran’s substitute entered the action with none of his teammates making way and struck the match-winning goal to hand his side a 2-12 to 2-11 victory.
