CORK Church of Ireland’s John Jermyn has been named men’s hockey player of the year.

The Irish men's hockey team has finished in 8th place at the BDO World Cup Qualifier,in Changzhou, China, having lost 2-1 this morning to Belgium in the 7th/8th play off.
