Canford Cliffs is set to make his eagerly-awaited seasonal debut in the Bathwick Tyres Greenham Stakes at Newbury on Saturday.

Jim Bolger made an impact on his first visit to Newbury in 16 years by saddling 2-1 favourite Vocalised to victory in the Bathwick Tyres Greenham Stakes.

Natagora and Infallible both did their bit to liven up the ante-post 1000 Guineas market in the week before John Dunlop’s Muthabara followed suit at Newbury on Saturday.

Muthabara, the subject of ante-post support in recent weeks for the stanjamesuk.com 1000 Guineas, was trimmed further in the betting after securing a key trial at Newbury.
