It may be one of the world’s most iconic skylines, but a young Irish boy wielding a hurley stole the show in Shanghai’s famous Bund tourist area yesterday.

The Lord Mayor of Cork, who vigorously opposed and protested against the city’s twinning with Shanghai a decade ago, said he is prepared to raise China’s poor human rights record with its government officials this week.
