Jason Dufner shot himself into the golfing record books at the PGA Championship last night with a second-round of 63, equalling the lowest score ever carded in Major championship history.

Between them, European Tour rookies Robert Dinwiddie and Ross McGowan have made no fewer than 17 attempts to get into the Open and not succeeded once.
