The Union of Students in Ireland is calling for student nurses to be paid during the current health crisis.

Authorities have detained a suspect in connection with the May 19 bomb blast outside a school in southern Italy that killed a 16-year-old girl.

The 2007 National U-19 Championships will recommence at the National Stadium in Dublin at 5.30pm this afternoon and continue until all semi final bouts are completed.
