The Public Accounts Committee has rejected a request by journalist Ian Bailey to investigate the costs associated with the Garda investigation into the murder of French film-maker Sophie Toscan du Plantier.

A group representing family and friends of Sophie Toscan du Plantier believes a trial over her killing will take place in France, in a suspect's absence.
