Agriculture Minister Michael Creed has confirmed the provision of €2.7m of Government funding for the development of a regional development hub at Coláiste Íosagáin, Baile Mhuirne, in Co Cork.

The establishment of a so-called 'digital hub' in every county could significantly benefit the country by helping to create more than 1,000 companies, nearly 9,000 jobs and generating more than €300m for the regional economy, according to a report.
