Food safety bosses moved to reassure Irish consumers today after fears were raised over feed additives found in poultry meat.

The Labour Party is calling for more inspections and stricter penalties for businesses that produce and sell contaminated food products.

Testing on Irish food products has reportedly found worrying levels of contamination in meat, fruit and vegetables.
