A 22-year-old man has been arrested by Gardai investigating the murder of a taxi driver in County Louth last year.

Gardaí in Co Louth are investigating an aggravated burglary at a service station in Bellurgan last night.

It has been reported that three gardaí have been stabbed as they tried to execute a warrant in Clogherhead in Co Louth.

The US telecommunications company Tellabs, is to close its plant in Drogheda, Co Louth, by the end of the year, with 200 job losses.
