The Kilkenny animation firm behind the Oscar-nominated Song of the Sea last year enjoyed a further jump in profits, according to the managing director of Cartoon Saloon Gerry Shirren.

Yesterday saw the release date of a film by Kilkenny-based Cartoon Saloon, entitled Song of the Sea, which earlier this year was nominated for an Academy Award.
