Irish challenger Captain Joy narrowly outpointed fellow grey Sovereign Debt in the Ladbrokes All-Weather Mile Championships Conditions Stakes at Lingfield yesterday.

The Tracey Collins-trained Captain Joy booked his ticket back to Lingfield Park on Good Friday when capturing he four-runner Ladbrokes Fast Track Qualifier Race over a mile on a wet night in Dundalk.

Tracey Collins is facing a race against time to get Captain Joy qualified for the All-Weather Championships at Lingfield on Good Friday.
