A long running public inquiry into child abuse is expected to hear from former leader of the Catholic Church in Ireland Cardinal Sean Brady.

Disgraced priest Fr Brendan Smyth penned an angry letter from jail denying he had damaged the Catholic Church, an inquiry has heard.
