Technology experts in Waterford are bidding to tackle one of the most aggressive forms of brain cancer using miniature, implantable devices.

The woman in charge of the medical centre in Prague that treated brain cancer survivor Ashya King has said she is “over the moon” with his progress.

Proton beam therapy has reportedly cured five-year-old Ashya King of brain cancer after his family removed him from hospital in Southampton and took him to Prague for the treatment.
