A maritime facility which will power the ‘blue economy” was opened in Ringaskiddy, Co Cork, over the weekend by Taoiseach Enda Kenny.

Taoiseach Enda Kenny is set to officially open Ireland’s largest renewable energy test and research facility in Cork next weekend as part of the country’s first national maritime festival.

Exactly two years after a sod-turning ceremony on the site, An Taoiseach Enda Kenny will officially open the new Beaufort Building in Ringaskiddy on July 11.
