Ambulance paramedics in Clare are refusing to drive an ambulance which had to be ‘deep cleaned’ three times in recent weeks due to a fungus infestation.

Industrial action at the National Ambulance Service control centre in Dublin has been deferred.

The representative body for the ambulance service has said reports that phone calls in the service were routinely taped are "very worrying".
