Hungary for expansion
The Hungarian carrier has two new destinations, the popular tourist and cultural destination of St Petersburg in Russia and Iasi, the airline’s fifth destination in Romania. The airline is also upping frequencies on holiday resorts such as Malaga, Varna in Bulgaria and Split on the Adriatic.
Malév will continue to operate the only daily direct service from Dublin to Budapest. A summer seat sale is running until April 12, with fares to Budapest from €99 return and from €149 including taxes for destinations such as Sofia and Athens. * THE eighth annual City of Derry Jazz and Big Band Festival, is on the May bank holiday weekend, from April 30 to May 3.
It will bring almost 300 performers to over 60 venues for 188 gigs. Headline acts include Jools Holland and his Rhthym and Blues Orchestra and The Kings of Swing.
