Great savings to bite the Big Apple

ANYONE thinking about a pre-Christmas shopping trip to New York is advised to travel early to benefit from special deals. Tour America, in fact, believe the best savings — up to €200 — can be had by heading west next month on the basis that New York hotels are keen to fill rooms before domestic demand takes off.

It is also more likely to be pleasant during October, with temperatures averaging 18 degrees to allow more comfortable browsing around the shops and sights.
