Amble member Ross McNerney has announced his engagement to his partner Emma Mulligan.
The musician, who rose to fame with the Irish folk group, announced the news with an Instagram post on Monday.
Cleverly captioning the post, ‘Is not an island for one’ as a nod to the band’s popular tune, McNerney shared photos alongside his new fiancé.
McNerney joined Amble in the autumn of 2022, after original members Robbie Cunningham and OisÃn McCaffrey made contact.
His addition to the group was the final piece of the puzzle, and after their first gig together, McNerney messaged Cunningham and McCaffrey to suggest they pursue the project seriously.
This suggestion led to the trio formalising the band, and eventually, McNerney and Cunningham left their teaching jobs and McCaffrey left his job as a data scientist to focus on making music full-time.
The trio are set to take their Reverie tour on the road to Japan, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand over the coming months, before returning home for five sold-out gigs this summer.
They will play St Anne’s Park in Dublin on May 29, Musgrave Park (Virgin Media Park) in Cork on June 26, and three nights at Live at the Docklands in Limerick on August 20, 21, and 22.
