LOVE travelled full circle for Dublin bride and groom Kate Bennett and Jamie Campbell.
Kate, from Dalkey, and Jamie, from Killiney, were married in the Church of the Assumption, Dalkey, by Fr David Borough and held their reception at Powerscourt Hotel Resort & Spa, Enniskerry.

The venue was where they first laid eyes on one another, when they were employed there eight years before. âI worked in the lounge and Jamie worked in Banquets.âÂ
Six years later, Jamie didnât think twice about where to pop the question.Â

âJamie proposed to me in Powerscourt Hotel on December 22, 2023, back to where it all started. We didnât even look at other venues or consider getting married elsewhere, as Powerscourt holds such a special place in our hearts. Itâs where our love story began.âÂ
The bride also stayed in the hotel on the eve of the big day. âIn the wedding car alongside my dad, I was like a giddy little girl, on the way to marry the love of my life. I was ready to run down the aisle!â says Kate. âI couldnât wait to be with him.â

Jamie adds: âTurning around and seeing Kate walk down the aisle was the best moment of my life.â They âsmiled and laughedâ throughout the ceremony, says Kate: âGetting to marry your best friend in front of every person you love in this world is the dream.âÂ
Kate chose her sisters Eva Bennett and Amy Bennett, and her best friends Lucy Crowley, CristĂn Blennerhassett, and Jade Hanley to be her bridesmaids.Â

The groomsmen included Alex Campbell (best man and Jamieâs brother), Luke Bennett (my brother), Mark Collins, Fiachra Maher, Conor Madigan and Eoin Clancy.Â
âI walked down the aisle to a mashup of Stand by Me and Truly Madly Deeply, which was sung so beautifully by Katherine Gavin,â says Kate.

âMy bridesmaid, CristĂn, lent me trinkets that had been owned by her late mum, Denise French, as my something old and borrowed, which was so special as I had a close relationship with Denise myself.âÂ
The newlyweds travelled in style in a grey 1954 R-type Bentley, courtesy of Heffernan Wedding Cars. âMy parents, Angela and Dermot Bennet,t were so helpful when it came to our wedding,â says Kate.Â

âMy 88-year-old granny, Marie Jennings, was also in attendance, which was unbelievably special to both Jamie and me. Jamieâs parents, Theresa Dunne and Alan Campbell, also played a blinder throughout the day, which was magical from start to finish.âÂ
Christina Brosnan, Brosnan Photographic (Brosnanphotographic.com), along with Mario Vaitkus (videographer), captured the occasion on camera, and the hair and makeup team were Lou Merryweather and Natasha Ray.Â

Kate was chic in a Suzanne Neville wedding dress. âI bought my dress and veil from Sharon Hoey,â she says.Â
âJamie and the groomsmen got their gorgeous tuxedos from Protocol on Dawson Street in Dublin.âÂ
Spring Break ensured the dance floor was full, and Blessed was the âday twoâ band. The floral dĂ©cor was by The Wild Bunch, and The Little Baker created the wedding cake.

The Dalkey-based newlyweds set off for the Algarve for their mini-moon and plan to travel to Kenya and Zanzibar in January 2026 on their honeymoon.Â
âOur future home is yet to be confirmed, but we wonât be staying far from where we grew up,â says the bride.
