On the Call Her Daddy podcast, American actress and stand-up comedian Amy Schumer, 43, discussed how online abuse from trolls led her to seek medical help, ultimately resulting in a diagnosis of Cushing’s syndrome.

Speaking to podcast host Alex Cooper, in the episode that aired on Wednesday, Schumer said: “I was getting these steroid injections [for scars], and it gave me this thing called Cushing’s syndrome, which I wouldn’t have known if the internet hadn’t come for me so hard.”
