Watch: Two Irish contestants revealed for Love Is Blind UK on Netflix

Love Is Blind UK comes to Netflix on August 7

Following the success of the hilarious Maura Higgins on Love Island in 2019, Irish people have become known for delivering top-tier entertainment on reality TV.

Despite this, there has been a lack of Irish personalities on reality shows as of late, with zero Irish faces making an appearance on Love Island so far this summer.

However, that is about to change as two Irish contestants have been announced as part of the cast for the first-ever series of Love Is Blind UK.

The UK version of the show follows the format of the US version which explores the idea of whether or not people can fall in love sight unseen.

The show introduces us to a group of singletons who get to know one another before eventually proposing and continuing their journey in the real world as they prepare for their upcoming wedding.

It is only after their engagement that the couple have the opportunity to see each other face-to-face and soon after, they are whisked off on honeymoon together.

Dublin native Conor Griffin is one of the singles hoping to find love on the show. The 31-year-old has been single for seven years and says he has struggled to find a connection with someone following the end of his previous relationship.

Three years ago, he set up a health food business in memory of his late mother and is determined to make her proud and start a family of his own.

Also part of the cast is 35-year-old Sabrina Egerton from Belfast. A director, Sabrina says she has been unlucky in love so far but is hoping that will change once she enters the experiment.

A frequent traveller, she describes herself as hyper-independent but hopes that her time in the pods will allow her to let her walls down.

The pair join 28 other singletons who are hoping to prove that love is indeed blind.

Love Is Blind UK will be hosted by former Big Brother presenter Emma Willis and her husband and former Busted member, Matt Willis.
