The devastating flood that struck Midleton last month has not deterred businesses from getting ready for Christmas — and they have some fantastic offers available for shoppers, writes Denise O’Donoghue

WHEN Storm Babet hit last month, east Cork was one of the areas that fared worst. Places such as Midleton found themselves underwater quickly and businesses saw years of progress washed away in the space of a few hours. While the recovery has been strong overall, the financial impact on businesses has been significant.

Midleton Chamber is encouraging shoppers to boost local trade by stocking up for Christmas at affected businesses in the area.
