Blankets of snow and ice still cover many parts of the country today as freezing temperatures continue this week.
In what is a rare occurrence for the country, Ireland has experienced heavy snowfall and freezing conditions over the past few days, with temperatures set to plummet to between -8 and -3 degrees tonight.
People have been taking advantage of the rare snowfall, snapping photos and capturing videos of snow-covered fields, snow-capped mountains and frozen lakes.
