Share your experiences with safety on nights out and spiking

As women, we often have a few rituals we do on nights out to stay safe. Picture: iStock

Going on a night out or just to the local for a few drinks as a woman comes with a lot of considerations — what to wear, what to drink, what we can do to stay safe.

It's an unfortunate reality that we all feel we need to take measures to prevent being spiked, whether it's only accepting drinks straight from the bartender or a trusted friend, getting a cover for your drink or even bringing your drink into the bathroom stall with you.

We are looking for women across Ireland to share their experiences of spiking and safety when they go on nights out. We hope to use some responses in an article or a series of articles, but if you wish to remain anonymous, please write this alongside your name, which will then be used for verification purposes only
