The knitwear

Lucy Nagle and Pippa O’Connor Ormond are back with a new collaborative collection, welcoming brighter days. Designed with the modern woman in mind, this cashmere and pure wool collection brings together effortless layering pieces in a palette of flattering spring shades. Think primrose yellows and vibrant corals. From €55.

The umbrella

Dunboyne-based Clare O’Connor first got the idea to turn her vibrant abstract paintings into wearable art while searching for a sustainable way to support her craft.

We are particularly drawn to her umbrellas, which are made from recycled plastic bottles and feature a hand-turned wooden handle. Six foldable styles pair painted exteriors with striped interiors, while three long umbrellas hide the artwork inside with striped trim. Two metallic designs — bronze/rose and gold — are also on the way. With all the rain we’ve been having, this seems like a very sensible investment. Foldable €95; long style €98.

The pyjamas

Sinead Keary recently unveiled her new spring sleepwear collection, and we’re in love. Think soft-touch fabrics in delicate lilac and mint pastels — the perfect combination for cosy evenings. Even better?
Despite their luxurious feel, these pieces are entirely low-maintenance… no hand washing required. Now that’s the real treat.

The candle

Channelling springtime in the Japanese city, Max Benjamin’s new scent Kyoto Blossom is inspired by the fleeting beauty of sakura blossoms. Have I Got Your Attention? A Guide to Adult ADHD in Ireland

The book

A new Irish title offering a guide to adults living with ADHD lands in bookshops this month. Written by Ailín Kennedy and former Irish Examiner contributor Mike McGrath-Bryan, both of whom were diagnosed with ADHD in their 30s, it promises to be a trusted, accessible resource for those navigating neurodivergency, aiming to act as a toolkit for both self-understanding and self-advocacy.

The Cork launch will take place at Dubray Books on April 9 at 6.30pm.
