Dunnes Stores reveals Holy Communion collection designed by the late Paul Costelloe

Dunnes Stores has unveiled this year’s Holy Communion collection from Paul Costelloe Living Occasionwear, paying homage to the fashion designer who passed away back in November.
Costelloe took particular joy in designing his Communion collections year after year, understanding the emotional importance this milestone holds for families, as it did for his own family.
“Designing Holy Communion collections is a great pleasure for me. There is something incredibly special about creating these pieces for such an important moment in a child’s life and I hope they are worn with pride, remembered fondly, and passed down through generations,” he said last year.
Costelloe’s legacy lives on through the Paul Costelloe Living brand, which remains committed to continuing the tradition with many more Holy Communion collections to come.
The collection, which will launch on Saturday, January 10, includes dresses, accessories, and suits.
The 2026 Holy Communion Collection comprises five dresses priced at €130, each crafted with Costelloe’s signature attention to fabric, proportion, and embellishment.
Defined by refined silhouettes, duchess satin bodices, softly gathered skirts and elegant bows, the collection balances classic ceremony with contemporary grace.

Designed for graceful twirling, the Flora dress pairs a duchess satin bodice with pearl trim and puff sleeves scattered with pearl clusters.

Light and whimsical, the Lily dress features a sleeveless lace bodice with subtle sequins and a soft satin waistband.

Refined and delicate, the Daisy dress combines a satin bodice with fluted lace cap sleeves and a pearl beaded waistband.

Romantic and storybook in feel, the Aurelia dress features an all-over lace bodice with three-dimensional florals and a neat satin waistband with a double bow.

Dreamy and ethereal, the Clara dress showcases an intricate lace bodice with sequins and bubble hem sleeves, finished with a pearl-embellished organza waistband.
Accessories The collection is completed with a coordinated range of accessories designed to make Communion Day dressing simple and seamless, including a pearl-trimmed veil (€20), pearl-studded bow (€8) and pearl flower clips (€6), as well as pearl gloves (€15), an elegant pouch bag (€20), sheer socks (2pk €7), patent shoes (€30) and sparkle ballerinas (€20).
Alongside dresses is a range of sharp yet softly tailored looks offering a polished and comfortable approach to occasion dressing.
The collection includes slim leg trousers (€25) and a waistcoat (€25) featuring an exclusive race car print, hand-designed by William Costelloe.

The classic blazer (€50), lined with the same bespoke race car print, paired with a white or soft blue shirt (€20), and finished with a race car jacquard tie or bow tie (€8), is a playful touch on a traditional silhouette.
For a more relaxed yet classic feel, the trousers for chinos (€20) and lightweight trainers (€25) can be paired with the blazer or waistcoat.
This collection will launch Saturday, 10 January in Stephens Green, Dundrum, Henry Street, Cornelscourt, Blanchardstown, Liffey Valley in Dublin, Patrick Street in Cork, Jetland in Galway, Terryland in Galway, Waterford City Square in Newbridge, Kildare, and Foyleside in Derry.
