Some of what we're loving this weekend

The collab

Jameson X MAIE Atelier
Jameson X MAIE Atelier

Jameson has announced an exclusive collaboration with Irish eyewear label MAIE Atelier in two colourways.

The limited-edition collection features the brand’s signature Aurora Rich Tortoise and Aurora Olive shades, designed in collaboration with Sinéad Gannon, each paired with a bespoke Jameson-embossed leather case.

And the only way to get your hands on them? A bit of luck.

The 70ml is perfect for your carry-on, to keep your tan topped up while abroad.

Lightweight, non-sticky, and transfer-free, the water-based tanning formula offers a bronzed glow without the mess.

Available in two shades, medium and dark.

Oh, and when you get home? Their Express Tan Removal Gel is now available in a jumbo size, €30 for 500ml, so you can scrub off your tan within minutes.

The footwear

We are loving Schuh’s edit for festivals and summer sun.

Our standout? The Lavena Leather Ballerina, €56.

Comfortable and chic, it’s the perfect flat to see you through the office to a city getaway.

The modern hip flask

Foxes Bow whiskey pouches, €6.99

If you’re not one for cans, one of the more irritating parts of pre-festival packing can be decanting your spirits into (hopefully!) reusable bottles.

Limerick’s Foxes Bow Irish whiskey has come up with the rather ingenious 100ml resealable whiskey pouch.

A modern take on the traditional hip flask, this slim, shatter-free format fits in your pocket and contains three drink serves.

Launching in Carry Out stores from this Monday, August 25, it’s also rolling out in Aldi stores under the Grow with Aldi scheme from September 11. €6.99.

The pop-up shop

Sewphie in Urban Outfitters

Reworked sportswear has surely been the fashion trend of the summer, and it doesn’t look like it’s going away anytime soon.

Sophie Murphy, the Dublin designer behind the CMAT-approved Sewphie line of lace trim, bow-adorned GAA shorts and jerseys, will be setting up a pop-up store in Dublin’s Urban Outfitters, Temple Bar store this Saturday between 10am and 7pm.

Expect the fan-favourite Ireland jerseys and limited edition O’Neills shorts.

Priced from €58.

The show

Dance and circus company Kundle Cru will take flight across Ireland with their explosive new show Birds.

Previewing at The Everyman in Cork as part of Pitch’d Circus & Street Arts Festival on August 27.

Expect hypnotic hip-hop, contemporary dance, and circus artistry to reflect on a world caught in flux. €16, not incl booking fees.

The spot saviour

Back-to-school ‘restocks’ and ‘emergency kits’ are all over our timelines as summer comes to an end.

One thing we’d definitely pick up for the teen in our life? The La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo+M 3H Spot Patches, €10.50.

Clinically proven to visibly reduce spots from three hours after application, these single-use hydrocolloid patches will at least help with some of that night-before anxiety.
