The stars shone brightly on the first Sunday of the year as they walked the red carpet before the 82nd annual Golden Globes ceremony.
Kicking off the silly season of awards, Hollywood’s elite put their best foot forward to bring some much-needed tinsel-town glamour to a grim January evening.
As the best of TV and movies collided, we were greeted with a homage to old Hollywood gowns mixed with a winning palette of gold.
As predicted, the Wicked stars continued the trend of coordinating their look with the film’s aesthetic, bringing the fantastical into a real-life look.
While the men treated us to some bold choices, with Jeremy Strong’s jade velvet suit and matching bucket hat to our own Andrew Scott donning head-to-toe turquoise.

Casting a spell on us, we were all left holding space for Grande’s subtle nod to the yellow brick road with this ethereal vintage Givenchy dress.

Winning the Golden Globe, Ireland’s favourite son, Colin Farrell defeated all the sartorial odds by making the penguin suit chic with this monochrome ensemble.

Putting the bite back into old Hollywood glamour, Fanning looked stunning in this recreation of a 1953 Balmain gown.

A risky choice to emulate the Golden Globe gong, but this molten lava effect dress was a winning look for The Substance actress.

As always it was game, set and match in the style stakes for the Challengers actress. Paying tribute to another era, Zendaya brought old Hollywood back to the future.

From baby girl to Grecian goddess, Kidman sparkled in this Balenciaga creation.

Bringing the drama and fun to the red carpet, McCarthy’s pop of pretty pink florals was a sartorial feast not to be missed.

In keeping with her paired-back aesthetic, Anderson was very demure, very mindful in a classic LBD.
