Eras tour outfit: €34 cowboy boots in Penneys and 8 other options ahead of Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift performs on stage at the Paris La Defense Arena as part of her The Eras Tour, in Nanterre, north-western France, on May 9, 2024.
Fashion’s cognoscenti predicted it— the cowboy boot is having a moment or rather, an ‘era’.
Inspired, in no small part, by Beyonce’s country album,
and Taylor Swift’s global Eras Tour (hitting Dublin on June 28), it’s safe to say the Western revival has officially kicked off. This isn’t our first time at the rodeo, however. Cowboy boots experienced a similar zenith in the late aughts thanks to Isabel Marant’s iconic ‘Dicker’ booties which became synonymous with Parisian style and, as such, a coveted wardrobe staple.
Fifteen years later, this low-key, cool girl aesthetic has evolved into its notice-me era. For a start, expect high vamp boots as standard from Scandi savants like Ganni in punchy colourways with embroidery details and glossy finishes.

Team your favourite pair with a vintage-inspired tea dress (check out Rixolondon.com) or an easy-to-style shorts co-ord.
Similarly, Paris, Texas and All Saints offer to-the-knee boots in maximalist metallics and swishy full-length tassels—perfectly paired with festival-ready mini dresses and playsuits.
For Swiftie-approved realness, pre-loved and hand-tooled leather and cowhide styles from Etsy.com are worth the search time.
While on the subject of concerts and festivals, the latest Penneys x Rita Ora collab (out nationwide in selected stores from June 18) features a pair of flame pattern gems at just €34. Run, don’t walk.
Still prefer a classic? Penelope Chilvers suede beauties toe the line between pretty and practical in shades like Hunter green and bitter chocolate with contrast embroidery.
Alternatively, try a Roper-style ankle boot (fit with a flat heel) instead with leather shorts and an oversized shirt or a failsafe ‘jeans and a nice top’ combo. The Kooples do it best with a bit of edge.
Now get to steppin’. These boots aren’t going to wear themselves.
