Simone Gannon shares her top products for September

1. Bobbi Brown Luxe Eye & Cheek Palette

Swoon-worthy in more ways than one, Bobbi Brown Luxe Eye and Cheek palette is versatile, flattering and the jewel in the crown of your Autumn makeup bag. Available exclusively at Brown Thomas for a limited time, this is a delicious mix of rich powdery mattes and luxe shimmer shades, along with a stunning powder highlight that is almost too pretty to use. Guaranteed to light up your eyes and complexion (and make you feel fabulous at the same time).

€76. Exclusive to Brown Thomas.

2. Storyderm 72 Capsule Masks

One of the most exciting face masks I’ve used recently, 72 Capsule Masks by Korean skincare brand Storyderm, is an appealing collection of mix-and-apply jelly masks that target various concerns. Blue for hydration, yellow for anti-ageing and pink for brightening. Mix up the mask in the capsule container until it turns into a thick jelly, then apply to the skin and leave for 15-20 minutes before peeling off. 10/10 for the fun factor alone.

€99 for a pack of five masks. Available from storyderm.ie.

3. Mrs Glam Glorious Skin Powder Foundation

Mrs Glam Glorious Skin Powder Foundation has changed how I feel about using powder in my makeup routine. As someone generally opposed to setting anything for fear my skin will look dull or dry, this finely milled, exceptionally light offering from Michelle Regazzoli Stone’s makeup line is what I was missing. This is so light on the skin that it’s barely detectable, and yet it does a stellar job of setting an existing base (and it’s equally excellent alone as a medium coverage foundation). Pick this up for less than €24, put it in your handbag for touch-ups on the go, and thank me later.

Available in nine shades. €23.95 from bperfectcosmetics.com.

4. Maison Margiela Replica Lazy Sunday Morning

I have always found the Replica series by Maison Margiela utterly transportive. A moment in time, captured in a beautiful fragrance, the crackling warmth of a fireside in winter or a crisp walk on a cool October day. The latest addition to the collection is Lazy Sunday Morning, and it’s just as lovely as it sounds. Think freshly washed bedlinen and a tranquil weekend morning, with notes of lily-of-the-valley, white musk, and orange blossom in the air. Beautiful.

€130 from Brown Thomas.

5. Elemis Pro-Collagen Green Fig Cleansing Balm

Elemis have added to their best-selling pro-collagen collection with the launch of Green Fig Cleansing Balm. Sitting alongside the original and rose, this gorgeous new addition smells just as good as it feels. Containing a delicious blend of sweet bergamot and juicy fig, this gentle, buttery, soft balm will melt away makeup and impurities and deeply nourish the skin while making you feel like you’re doing your skincare routine somewhere in the Mediterranean. What’s not to love?

€60 from millies.ie.

6. Vichy Dercos Hair Anti-Dandruff Shampoo

I’m sure this shampoo is excellent at keeping dandruff at bay, but that’s not why it’s in this column. Vichy Dercos Anti-Dandruff Shampoo excels for me when removing product buildup. If, like me, you’re fond of using several styling products and as much dry shampoo as your hair can take, then you need to give this a go. Use once a week (or whenever you wash your hair), and watch as it deeply cleans and clarifies while injecting serious shine.

Available in two types: Dry or Normal/Oily. €13.50 from Boots.

7. Glow Recipe Pomegranate Peptide Firming Serum

A fun product that delivers gorgeously glowy skin, Korean Skincare brand Glow Recipe has done it again with the launch of Pomegranate Peptide Firming Serum. Formulated with hyaluronic acid, polypeptides and pomegranate seed oil, this will plump, smooth and hydrate from first use.

€46.50 from cultbeauty.com.

8. The Inkey List Tripeptide Plumping Lip Balm

The Inkey List Tripeptide Plumping Lip Balm is designed to plump the lips over time (when used thrice daily) while caring for dry, dehydrated lips. While I can’t
attest to its lip-plumping abilities, as I generally only use it once a day (or when I remember), it’s a very nice lip balm and an excellent product if your lips need some serious TLC. As it’s The Inkey list, it’s easy on the pocket, too.

€12.99 from McCabes Pharmacy.
