INSPIRATION

Summer suiting is a hot trend, not least because of its cool factor. Purveyors of the look like David Gandy,  Michael Fassbender and Chris Pine have made a signature out of lightweight linen or mix and match blazerchino combos.

STYLE NOTES

STAY SINGLE?

Single-breasted styles are a safe bet for most men. Tall and slim? Option a double-breasted suit for serious style points

MIX AND MATCH

This season’s suiting memo is relaxed. Use accents to create fresh combinations: pair a t-shirt and boxfresh trainers with sharp tailoring or tapered joggers with suede monkstrap shoes.

CUFFS ARE KING

Shirt cuffs should be visible between a quarter and a half an inch under a jacket sleeve. As for trousers cuffs? Aim for a ‘no break hem’ especially with a sockless loafer.

WATCH YOUR TONE

Tonal dressing (wearing different tones of the same colour) creates the illusion of length and is a surefire hack for looking put together.
