Amy Conway demonstrates us how to achieve three s/s trends

The buzzwords for spring make up? Healthy, radiant, and glowing – the ‘I just woke up like this’ look. Bobbi Brown’s PRO Make Up Artist, Amy Conway, shows us three s/s trends – and how to achieve them.

SPRING SMOKEY EYE

1. Double lining your eye liner is the perfect way to give you definition with a soft smokey finish. Apply Long Wear Gel Eyeliner along the lash line, then layer a dark eye shadow on top with a Smokey Eye Liner Brush.

2: With a stronger eye, balance the look with a nude lip. Opt for a beige tone gloss to add subtle dimension.

3. Finish the eye with mascara – you can even layer five to six coats for a dramatic evening look.

Products: Skin Nourish Face Mask (new for January 2016); Extra Treatment Lotion; Extra Face Oil; Hydrating Gel Cream; Hydrating Eye Cream; Corrector/Concealer; Skin Foundation Stick; Black Ink Long Wear Gel Eyeliner; Mahogany Eye Shadow; Smokey Eye Liner Brush; Golden Light Bronzing Powder; Buff Lip Gloss

STATEMENT LIP

1. When creating a statement lip, be sure to condition the lips before applying lipstick, to ensure the lip looks smooth and plump. Amy uses the Bobbi Brown Lip Balm SPF 15 first, which also primes the lips.

2. For a professional finish apply lip colour with a brush. Amy uses Bobbi Brown’s new Luxe Lip Color — start from the outer corner, creating a rounder finish to the Cupid’s bow.

3. Add a pop of colour to the cheeks to balance a statement lip. Amy applies Pale Pink Pot Rouge for a fresh glow.

4. Polish the look with defined brows: it’s a great balance against a bright lip. Amy uses a clear brow shaper to hold the brows in place whilst giving them a groomed shape.

Products: (Skin and base as before); Bright Peony Luxe Lip Colour (Brown Thomas exclusive); Lip Balm SPF 15; Clear Natural Brow Shaper & Hair Touch-Up; Caviar Ink Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner; Mahogany Eye Shadow; White Eye Shadow; Taupe Eye Shadow; Eye Opening Mascara; Pale Pink Pot Rouge.

THE GLOW

1: The key to a beautiful glow for this look is to start with the right skincare. Amy uses Bobbi’s Skin Nourish Face Mask to give the skin a plump looking and hydrated finish. Then she layers skincare on top, finishing by pressing in Extra Face Oil to dryer areas of the skin. This enhances the glow before she even gets to makeup.

2: Banish any dark circles by using a corrector. She applies corrector to the inner corner of the eye blending out to the under eye. Next, layer a concealer on top to brighten.

3: Find your perfect nude base. Skin foundation stick is a great way to build coverage that still looks like skin. Amy applies the stick with a brush all over the skin to create a sheer, natural finish. She then presses the stick around the nose and cheeks to build up coverage where redness can be seen.

4. Amy creates a strobed finish with the new Pink Glow Highlighting Powder — it enhances the pink tones to the cheek, adding a highlight for a soft glowing finish. Extra Lip Tintis perfect to find your most natural lip tone, and to add hydration.

5. Amy finishes with two to three coats of Eye Opening Mascara for instant definition and impact.
