Harking back to the 70s style

When days are short and bank accounts are dry, we look to our old reliables for comfort.

Harking back to the 70s style

Trends may, indeed, change with the seasons, but sometimes they find their groove and the fashion gods grant us a rollover. Such is the case with our 70s love affair.

STYLE NOTES:

Suede: It’s the go-to fabric that segues the seasons without missing a beat. Expect more intense colours from earthy claret to bolshie blues and greens.

Embroidery: Crafty embellishments on diaphanous, tiered fabrics evoke a breezy California vibe. A total keeper.

Empire: Dominate the style stakes with a raised waist. Not only is this era-appropriate but body shape-friendly across the board.

Denim: Hang onto denim skirts. The Ali MacGraw chapter of this Love Story is far from over.
