We are accustomed to seeing young people featuring their cool ‘streetfashion’ looks on the mobile photo-sharing platform Instagram, and on other social media sites. Glossy mags and designers take inspiration from the style trends that start, not in studios or catwalks, but at grassroots level in urban centres.
