Trend of the week: Go green

After all, Mother Nature knows best.

Inspiration

Rich and ripe for the picking is 2015’s new neutral – winter green.

From Jason Wu’s sporty hewn dresses to Alberta Ferretti’s olive tapestry skirts and Elie Saab’s khaki model army, the result is decidedly more sleek than sylvan.

That said, the shades of dried herbs and forest hues leave us foraging for more.

Style Notes

* Go head-to-toe (like Jason Wu, right) for a high-impact silhouette lengthening e-ect.

* Combine textures like denim, leather and cashmere with khaki or olive green for a more luxe look.

* Break up a solid palette with contrasting neutrals like black or grey for a more urbane pared-back approach.

* Dip your toe into the trend with a lower commitment shoe.  We love Topshop’s verdant green stilettos. Very vampish!
