On the red carpet: Dita Von Teese, Freida Pinto, Diane Kruger, Charlize Theron

Cinderella was not a Disney character I saw Dita Von Teese channeling.

Queen Grimhilde’s slinky purple gown, perhaps, but this chiffon number by Zuhair Murad is more princess than burlesque. The star wore powder blue to the MOCA Gala in Los Angeles.

Freida Pinto chose a green gingham halter-dress with an A-line skirt for the 8th Annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic in New Jersey. This look is Michael Kors, including the star’s corsage belt and peaked shades. I like the neutral accessories but the dress is a little bland.

Diane Kruger out-dressed everyone at the 8th Annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic in her chic Roland Mouret onesie. The colour and cut-outs really stood out amid the many pastel dresses at the event. A straw boater and flat Chanel sandals finished the look.

Charlize Theron wore this simple yet super-flattering Cushnie et Ochs gown to present at the Critics’ Choice Awards in Beverly Hills. The cut-out detailed dress looks just as stunning on the soon-to-be 40-year-old as it did on the catwalk. She’s styled it perfectly too.
