Street trend: Maeve Keane
Cork city
Today I’m wearing a maxi dress (€79) and fur collar (€42) from Amity Boutique, a vintage leather jacket (€100), fedora (£25) from Old Spitalfieds Market, London, Ray-Ban sunglasses (€148) from Brown Thomas and a Balenciaga bag (gift).
Bohemian, fun, changeable.
Twenty minutes to an hour, depending on how many pictures will be taken where I’m going!
Fashion, as there’s almost always something I’m wearing that I love the look of, but it’s totally dysfunctional and causing me annoyance. No pain, no gain, I guess.
I think Irish street style has come on in leaps and bounds. I would love to see some more individuality. Less “Kardashian Klones”, please!
History. For a laid-back daytime look, I always look to the 1970’s bohemian vibe but at night I love the lavishness of 1960’s glamour.
Obviously where I work but I also love Miss Daisy Blue and Mercury Goes Retrograde. When I need a hit of glamour, I go to Azure on Carey’s Lane for a classic piece of jewellery.
It’s comfortable and practical while still being in tune with the 1970s trend that’s so in right now.
