On the red carpet at the Screen Actors’ Guild Awards

Jennifer Aniston was for me the most fashion-forward actress at the Screen Actors’ Guild Awards this week. 

As though to celebrate John Galliano’s return to the catwalk this month her stylist pulled a slinky green number from his eponymous brand’s Spring 1998 collection.

Lupita Nyong’o made a real entrance at the same event, fanning out the striped skirt of her Elie Saab gown for the cameras. The abstract floral print needs little accessorising beyond her sparkly Fred Leighton earrings.

Modern Family’s Sarah Hyland plays against her doll-like natural look with sophisticated fashion. This embroidered Vera Wang gown is a case in point. I like the nude skirt and tulle overlay and her jewellery and metallic eye-makeup pick up the mirrored paillettes of her dress.

Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting’s elegant Romona Keveza column is in keeping with the grown-up look she’s rocked since cutting her hair. The Big Bang Theory star accessorised with a gold Giuseppe Zanotti barrel clutch, a gold manicure and huge white diamonds on her wrist and ears.
