Name: Ellen Martin

Street trend: Ellen Martin

Occupation: Bookmaker and owner of Fab Fillies ( www.fabfillies.com ), Wedding Belles Bridal Accessories & Gifts ( www.weddingbelles.ie ), FAB Feathers Hathire, Killeagh, Cork.

What are you wearing? Today I’m wearing a jacket from Blush (€85); Penneys top (€14); Ted Baker trousers (€200); wedge boots from Inca (€200); bracelets (€10-€25); necklace (€35); wrap (€50) and bag (€130) from Fab Fillies; the earrings were a gift.

Describe your style in three words: Eclectic, smart, tailored.

How long does it take you to get ready in the morning? Not long, normally five minutes from start to finish.

Fashion or function: which word best describes your attitude to clothes and why?

Function all the way for me, my outfit has to be comfortable, I love the feeling of being snug in what I wear as I detest the cold. I also find that more classic pieces can be worn for years without dating.

What’s your biggest source of style inspiration? Magazines. My down time usually revolves around a decent magazine and a large cappuccino!

Where do you like to shop? Scarlett in Midleton, Avoca in Rathcoole, Brown Thomas when I have plenty of vouchers and TK Maxx when I’m in the mood for a browse.

Who or what is ireland’s undiscovered gem? I just adore a browse around Cork Vintage Quarter in Henry Street near the Mercy Hospital — so much to see and plenty of gems to be found.

Why does your style/outfit work? Each piece holds its shape, suits my figure and is extremely comfortable.
